Militants threatened to stop Oil Exploration over Buhari's special focus on the North

A coalition of agitators in the Niger Delta said yesterday that it has set off programmed attack troop to bring to a halt further oil exploration and exportation from the region, following the current NNPC outrage and scandalous revelation by the World Bank that President Muhammadu Buhari directed the financial institution to concentrate development in northern Nigeria.

Militants vs Buhari

The statement read, “The current revelation of the World Bank and the present NNPC scandal has given us no choice but to activate our digital strike team to swing into action to stop further exploration and exportation of oil from the Niger Delta.”
“For it is very obvious that this present administration is for the North only, without putting into cognizance that 90 per cent of the resources that sustain this nation is from the Niger Delta.”
“We want to warn that this deliberate provocation and intimidation by the northern oppressors to provoke the Niger Delta people would be counterproductive because we are going to resist them with the last drop of our blood and a devastating response,” it said.
The coalition emphasized its determination “to start attack on all oil infrastructures,” saying, “We would not allow our resources to be used to fund only the north and intimidate us, rather than developing the Niger Delta deprived of its God-given resources since 1958.”
“The antics of their divide and rule tactics would never work again in the Niger Delta in this 21st century because the world and all honest Nigerians have seen the antics and tactics of the federal governments’ insensitivity and insincerity after the adoption of the 16-point agenda of PANDEF on the 3rd of August 2017.
“It is still very fresh in our minds the betrayal of Isaac Boro to keep Nigerian one, the killing of Ken Saro Wiwa and the Ogoni 9 and the dehumanization of their bodies with acid, the genocide in Odi, the genocide in Gbaramatu Kingdom,” the coalition asserted.
Its words: “We the NDRC and the 21st Century Youths and all affiliate organizations are determined to prove to the world that we are not cowards. The present military operation called Operation Crocodile Smile II that is currently going on in the Niger Delta would not deter us neither would we be intimidated because the current agitators have succeeded in taking the struggle from analogue to digital.”
The alliance added: “We have successfully proven to our oppressors before the ceasefire that we have the capacity to stop the flow of our God-given resources as our clamour and fight is for equity and justice.”
It stated: “We have also succeeded in educating our brothers that we do not have any problem with the military because the military are victims of the northern political elite’ conspiracy because of our God-given resources.”
The coalition, which had declared a ceasefire after the Federal Government and PANDEF met August 3 in Abuja, asserted: “We, therefore, want to warn the federal government that the deliberate provocation of the Operation Crocodile smile 2 in the Niger Delta is a waste of time.”
“We know our targets and no Niger Delta youth of this 21st century would be seen in the old fashion. We want to use this medium to advise our elders and leaders of the Niger Delta that our generation called the 21st century would not make the mistake our fathers made that have portrayed them as cowards as if the Fulani and Islamic jihadists have conquered the Niger Delta.
“We want to warn that the planned islamization and conqueror approach by this present government would be resisted with the last drop of our blood in this 21st century. We advise our brothers to be calm and steadfast and avoid any confrontation with the army because we the 21st century youths and other agitators have the ability to stop the flow of our oil in our backyards.
“Our grievances and agitations are genuine and nobody can or would be able to intimidate us with whatever military operations because we already know their aims and objectives. We want to warn that we are closely watching their actions and inactions and would respond at the appropriate time as we still believe in the eminent members of the PANDEF that persuaded us to ceasefire for sincere dialogue, for lasting peace for the rich, but impoverished people of the Niger Delta,” the merger added.
It warned: “If our understanding and sincerity is taken for granted, it means we would have no choice but to prove that we are not cowards and we would start implementing our next line of action for operation zero barrel of oil in the Niger Delta because enough is enough.”

Arrested armed robber conferences Rivers law maker is our member

The arrested notorious kidnapper, armed robber and murderer, Justice Oti, aka High Tension, has revealed that a member of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Martins Mana, who represents Ahoada East constituency one, is a member of his gang.
Oti, an indigene of Odisama in Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers state, who was born on March 7, 1993, admitted being a member of Icelander cult group and he had killed no fewer than fifteen members of a rival Greenlander cult group in the area.
Suspected Armed Robber

The notorious kidnapper (Oti) exclusively told our reporter yesterday in Port Harcourt that his decision to kill people was because members of Greenlander cult group also killed over 15 Icelander cult group members.
Oti, who embraced the amnesty offer of the Nyesom Wike’s administration, revealed that he did not completely surrender his arms and ammunition, stating that the Greenlander members never submitted their guns, but only deceived members of the amnesty committee by surrendering sticks.
The kidnapper, who was arrested in Bauchi State, pointed out that the persons he killed were as a result of revenge of previous killings by the rival cult gang, but he was silent on the roles played by the Rivers lawmaker in the gang.
Oti disclosed that when his deputy in the gang, Lucky, aka Iron, was killed by the rival cult group and his head was cut and taken away, with the Greenlander members threatening to also kill him, he decided to escape to Bauchi, after hiding his AK-47 rifle and ammunition in his village.
Armed Robber
Rivers police command decided to formally write to the Speaker of the state’s House of Assembly, Ikuinyi-Owaji Ibani, of Andoni constituency, to release Mana, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for interview by the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (F-SARS), headed by Mr, Akin Fakorede.
The police letter that was obtained through a source close to the Rivers Commissioner of Police, Zaki Ahmed, was dated October 9, 2017, with the command indicating that it was investigating cases of kidnapping and murder in Ahoada East LGA of the state involving Oti and members of his gang.
The police’s letter also indicated that inviting the lawmaker was to facilitate the command’s investigation, with the speaker asked to release Mana for an interview with the commander of F-SARS on October 12 this year at 12 noon.
The Rivers lawmaker was contacted by our reporter for his reaction through his mobile line from 6:44 p.m., but the line kept ringing out, while a text message that was later sent to the same line had not been replied as at press time.
The Rivers police commissioner had earlier declared that his command had zero tolerance for crimes and criminality.
Also paraded yesterday by the police was Blessed Francis, a 20-year-old, 200 Level Geology student of the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT), who was arrested in Port Harcourt for burglary and armed robbery, barely three months after another UNIPORT undergraduate, Ifeanyi Dike, was arrested for ritual killing and he is still standing trial..
A gang of three gun-running youths, comprising two ND-2 students of the Rivers state government-owned Port Harcourt Polytechnic: Frank Nwaaknma, 22, from Ibaa, Emohua LGA of Rivers state and Ujie Francis, from Obudu in Cross Rivers state, were also arrested.
The third member of the three-member gang, Chigozie Junior Koro, 32, from Ogbakiri in Emohua LGA of Rivers, stated that he and Nwaaknma only wanted to assist Francis (Ujie) to sell for N100,000, a pistol he claimed to have picked during communal clash in his Cross River village, with promise of giving them N10,000, before they were apprehended by the police.
The 27-year-old Daniel Okpougo, an indigene of Edoha in Ahoada East LGA, who was arrested with ammunition, disclosed that High Tension (Oti) killed his uncle and he decided to travel to Patani in Delta state to buy the bullets to avenge the death before he was arrested on the East-West Road.
Others arrested for various criminal activities included Loveday Opi, an indigene of Egbema in Ogba/Egbeme/Ndoni LGA and Sunday Didia, who hails from Egbeda in Emohua LGA, both of Rivers state, as well as Kingsley Ofomata from Imo state, John Elvis, an indigene of Auchi in Edo state and Chimankpa Ukomwa, from Orlu in Imo state.
An excited Mr. Syriacus Amuchie, who was working offshore with an unnamed company, but lost his Toyota forerunner Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) to a gang of four armed robbers, while the vehicle was later recovered, admonished members of the public to continue to support the police, especially the F-SARS.
Amuchie revealed that the SUV was snatched at gunpoint around 7:55 p.m. on July 6 this year, at the gate of his house in Rumuigbo, Port Harcourt, while waiting for the gate to be opened, with the car later recovered in Ada-George area of Port Harcourt, declaring that F-SARS operatives should be commended, not vilified.

Church members lock out pastor. (INFORMATION NIGERIA)

Some aggrieved members of a church in the Agbowo area of Ibadan, the Oyo state capital, on Sunday, locked-out the church pastor over alleged embezzlement of funds, improper behaviour and more.Sunday’s service of Ajegunle Baptist Church, Agbowo, Ibadan was held outside the church’s gate as some group of members aggrieved over their Pastor’s alleged financial impropriety, improper behaviour and abuse of pulpit locked the church, imirror exclusively reports.
The aggrieved members under the umbrella of “Concerned Members”, are insisting that church pastor, Reverend Oyewole Oyekan leaves the church on allegations of unilaterally running the financial affairs of the church and banking the church’s money to the tune of over N4 million in his personal account.
Baptist

Speaking on behalf of the concerned members, Sangolade Olufemi, said, “Our pastor has turned himself to the treasurer and financial secretary of the church, whereas we employed him. He spends our money singlehandedly without getting clearance from the financial secretary or church council.
“He cornered the account of the school for five years. When the school account of the school had problem, he started banking the school money in his personal account to the tune of over N4 million. Even the church executive does not know the actual amount with him.”

“We reported him to the association, conference; all they were doing was to appeal to us to give peace a chance. We have proved it beyond reasonable ground and we want him to leave our church.”
The crisis had begun about three years, when the group had forwarded their grievances to the Nigerian Baptist Convention, asking that Pastor Oyekan be axed after over 15 years of being in charge.
The Nigerian Baptist Convention, in a letter dated December 20, 2016, signed by Reverend D.O.E. Madoghwe, had then confirmed financial misapplication by Reverend Dr Oyekan, though noted there was no embezzlement.
The convention however ruled that the pastor should not keep church money, rather should allow the finance officers to do so, and mandated him to follow the proper channel of handling matters in the Baptist denomination from local church to association, conference and the convention.
Speaking on the allegations against him, Oyekan described the allegations as false, noting that no report of the auditor, financial secretary, treasurer or church in council had indicted him of embezzlement.

“Every quarter, we report everything to the church, the auditor’s report, the financial secretary report, treasurer report, and none of such reports has ever indicted me for anything. The hidden agenda is that I have been here for 18 years, and they want our members to go so that they can share the properties of the church.
“In the Baptist church, we don’t do that. They claim to be foundation members. We have people who have been year for over 20 years, who are said to be visitors.”
“In the Baptist church, it is the congregation that will hire and fire the pastor. The Baptist convention has never asked me to go, they told them to let peace reign but they did not listen. They say the Baptist convention, the Ibadan Baptist conference, the association, the church in conference, deacons are biased,” Oyekan said.
Speaking, a member of the church, Dr Adesina Sunday said the “Concerned members” against the Pastor because he stood for the truth and never allowed them run the affairs of the church as a cabal.

“These people called concerned members are not recognized by the church. In Baptist church, it not a group that employs or fires a pastor, it is the entire church. They have hidden agenda. The issue started when the pastor suggested that the name of the church be changed.
“The school account was audited and it was not discovered that there was N1. 7 million, it was the pastor that revealed that there was N1.7 million. But by an arrangement of the church, the money was returned.”

“Another grouse is that they don’t want the pastor because he preaches the truth. The convention said the pastor was guilty of misapplication though there was no embezzlement. They are telling lies against the pastor,” Adesina said.
Secretary of the church, Deacon Oladosu Olusola, said the agitators should rather follow due process in advancing their agitations.
“Whatever issues anyone might have, they should follow due process by bringing them to the church in conference. At the church, the issues were debated and if the decision of the entire church is that the issues they brought are valid, so be it. But they should not use self-help, bypass procedures and force their opinions on the rest of us,” Olusola said.

The cathedral we build are money from corruption not tithe and offerings, says pastor

Reverend Yomi Kasali, founder/overseer of Foundation of Truth Ministry, Lagos while preaching in church recently said  the cathedrals being built by most churches today is with corruption loot and not with tithe and offerings.

Kasali said the biggest religion in Nigeria today is corruption and that when most corrupt people, like governors, gather, they also offer opening prayers to God.

I was paid 7000 to kill former Guilder Ultimate Search winner

One of the suspects arrested for the murder of a former winner of Guilder Ultimate Search, Hector Jobarteh, has confessed to receiving N7k for participating in the Gruesome murder of Hector,49-year-old Ismaila Adeyemi, said after they successfully hacked him to death, he was given a phone as his prize, which he sold for N7000, and then gave his brother who helped him to sell it 2k out of the money.

Ismaila, who was paraded on Monday at the Lagos State Police Command headquarters in Ikeja, told said that one Nonso, KK and him stormed the house that Jobarteh’s lived on a robbery mission that day.
He said,
“I did not know who the man was before the operation. On that day, we parked at a filling station around his house and a lady came to meet KK. After a while, he received a call from the lady and we saw the man (Jobarteh) drove into the close.

“We followed him, but did not know where he entered. KK approached a woman and lied to her that the man’s car hit his and he sped off. He begged her to direct us to where the man entered and she did. When we got into the building, we saw the car and met another lady on the premises.

“KK asked the lady to lead us to the man’s apartment, but she declined. It was when he pointed a gun at the woman that she complied and took KK upstairs. He called us to come upstairs, but by the time we got to a living room upstairs, he had shot the man’s father in the hand.”

The native of Osogbo, Osun State said the gunshot prompted Jobarteh to come out from a room to the living room, where KK immediately gunned him down.

“I did not shoot at all, although I was holding a gun too. I quarrelled with KK for shooting them, because our plan was just to rob. He threatened to shoot me and I kept quiet. It was a pair of shoes and flowers that were in the bag we collected from him. We didn’t find money there.

“I took away only his white handset while KK went with the bag. I gave the phone to my brother, Usman, to help me sell it. He said he sold it for N7,000. I collected N5,000 and gave him N2,000,” he added.

However, the state Commissioner of Police, Edgar Imohimi, who paraded Adeyemi, said he shot the GUS winner.

He added that the command would not stop until other suspects involved in the murder were arrested.

Imohimi said, “I am glad to announce to you that after weeks of extensive manhunt, the principal suspect, Ismail Adeyemi, who pulled the trigger that killed the victim, has been arrested and he confessed to the crime.

Corrupt Practices: APC leaders calls for impeachment of Okowa

The Delta State All Progressives Congress (APC) Leaders Council has issued a two-week ultimatum to the Delta State House of Assembly to commence processes for the immediate impeachment of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa over alleged corrupt practices.
Addressing reporters over the weekend at Agbor, headquarters of Ika South Local Government Area of the state, the council said Mr. Okowa has looted the state treasury while ignoring the needs of the people of Delta State.
Speaking on behalf of the council, its coordinator, Cairo Ojougboh, said the two-week ultimatum to the state legislature to kickstart the impeachment process became imperative as the state was no longer progressing infrastructurally despite all the billions of naira that have accrued to the state since Governor Okowa took office.
Displaying some documents from the Delta State House of Assembly before the media, Mr. Ojougboh, a former presidential aide who was flanked by other leaders of the APC, stated, “I gave the Delta State House of Assembly 48 hours to produce a signed copy of the 2017 budget. Ten days after, the House has not been able to produce a copy of a budget that was passed on Wednesday, 1st February, 2017.”
APC
He continued, “Okowa dips his ugly, sticky and wicked fingers into the state treasury, which is now his pocket, to run Delta State as out-of-pocket expenses. The 2017 DESOPADEC budget is nonexistent and we hereby call on the members from the oil producing areas to produce the budget for their constituents to peruse. The governor of Delta State awarded to himself an approval limit of N250,000,000. He then uses four memos to corner one billion naira for his personal use.
“The State Executive Council approved this fraud for him. The commissioners do not have mandate for any approval whatsoever, not even for ten naira. Delta State House of Assembly is aware of this fraud and will do nothing about it. Even in Ibori and Uduaghan administrations, the governor’s approval limit was N50 million naira. We call on the state legislature to quickly address these anomalies otherwise there will be no Delta in 2019.
“The over twenty billion naira refund released by the federal government has vanished. Okowa released 50 percent as commission to the so-called consultant, his family member, and converted 50 percent to foreign exchange to finance his super ranch in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, and his housing estate in South Africa. The bailout was never used for payment of salary arrears. It was completely stolen by Okawa and family.
“Pensioners have now habitually turned Asaba to a protest ground on a daily basis. They are owed two years’ arrears. The money meant for their payment has been mismanaged, misappropriated, misapplied and embezzled. The Nigeria Labour Congress bidded N2 billion to purchase 51 percent of Delta Line. But Okowa sold 60 percent of the company for N161 million, while owing workers twelve months’ salaries. We call on the state legislature to annul the sales and investigate this heinous crime,” the APC Leaders Council stated.
In a similar vein, the senator representing Delta Central under the APC in the National Assembly, Ovie Omo-Agege, has accused Governor Okowa of looting the state treasury to a stand still.
Mr. Omo-Agege, who made the allegation on Saturday during a press briefing in his hometown of Orogun, Ughelli North LGA, challenged Mr. Okowa to respond to the allegation of running the state with a blank budget by showing the real copy of the budget to Deltans rather than raining insults on the accusers.
According to the senator, Governor Okowa has failed the people of Delta State by mismanaging billions of naira from the monthly federal allocations as well as the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC).
