The Pastor, the General Overseer of God’s Favour Ministry, Iba in Lagos State was arrested by men of Ogun State Police command for robbery.

The PPRO said efforts of the Police led by the OC Federal Special Anti Robbery Squad in Ogun, Uba Adams, paid off when a snatched Lexus RX 330 Spot Utility Vehicle was traced to Iba residence of the Pastor.
His arrest, according to the Police, led to the arrest of another members of the gang, Israel Animashaun who confessed to have snatched the vehicle, with another member of the syndicate at a gun point in Ajah, Lagos.
Animashaun was reported to have confessed to have collected N350,000 from the Pastor who he said is also a member of the gang.
The Pastor was reported to have denied knowing Animashaun before they were brought face to face leading to the Pastor blaming the devil.
The PPRO said, “The Pastor was arrested along with one Israel Animashaun through technical intelligence by men of FSARS led by Uba Adams.
“Their arrest followed series of car snatching report which the Command has been trying to unravel and have been working on to smash the syndicate.
“The efforts paid off when one of the Snatched car, a Lexus RX 330 jeep was tracked down to the Pastor at his Iba resident consequence upon which the Pastor was promptly arrested.
“This arrest led to the apprehension of Animashaun who is an active member of a 3 man gang of armed robbery syndicate specialized in snatching of exotic cars on gun point.
“On interrogation, Animasaun confessed that he and 2 others snatched the Lexus jeep on gun point at Ajah in Lagos and took it to the Pastor who used to help them in selling such robbed items.
“He stated further that the Pastor only paid him the sum of N350,000 for the car after using it for two weeks before he sent it to his other accomplice in Onitsha who is still at large.
“The Pastor who first denied knowing Animasaun to be an armed robber later confessed when confronted by the said Animasaun blaming his action on the devil.”
According to Oyeyemi, the Pastor informed the Police that the snatched Jeep has been sent to his accomplice in Onitsha but promised to work with them to get the said accomplice arrested.
Oyeyemi said the State Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, has directed the FSARS operatives to intensify efforts at getting all members of the syndicate arrested.
