The Host Communities Producing Oil and Gas (HOSCOM), Delta
state chapter, paid a glowing tribute to the monarchs of Okpe and Ozoro
kingdoms for giving quality support to HOSCOM in recent times. Leading a team
of HOSCOM officials to the palace of the Orodje of Okpe kingdom in Orerokpe,
His Majesty, Orhue I, Major General Felix Mujakperuo (retd), and the palace of
the Ovie of Ozoro Kingdom, HRM, Barr. Anthony Uvietobore Ogbogbo, Ibuka I, the
Chairman of Delta HOSCOM, Evang.

Gabriel Isibeluo informed the royal fathers
that the visit is to express their gratitude to them for a rare show of
humbleness and dedication towards the growth of HOSCOM, stressing that their
acceptance of the role of patron at HOSCOM, was quite laudable. Evang. Isibeluo
thanked the royal fathers respectively for gracing the inauguration of the
executive officers of HOSCOM, Delta State chapter. Noting the inherent challenges
in requesting the Federal Government to release the accumulated gas flare
penalties to the communities that suffer the impact of gas flaring, Evang.
Isibeluo called for collaboration of royal fathers to come together with HOSCOM
to achieve the desired progress.
Responding, the royal fathers respectively pledged their
unalloyed support to the good vision of HOSCOM, even as they advised that
leaders of HOSCOM should be steadfast in the pursuit of their goals to ensuring
the oil bearing communities are not shortchanged.

The visit which took place on the 5th October,
2018, brought together other dignitaries from the national body which includes:
Dr. P.K Egedegbe, National Secretary, HOSCOM, Dr. Joshua Ojieh, Secretary,
HOSCOM, Delta state, Princess (Mrs.) Christy Ichofu, Chief Memeh Justice,
Chairman, HOSCOM, Itsekiri nation, Chief Simon, Barr. (Mrs.) Omude Ochonogor -
Ochibe, State Woman Leader, Comr. Morrison Idibra, Comr. Lawrence Oluku, Youth
Leader, HOSCOM, Delta state, and others.
