Ogbimi join assembly race

 ------as Ogorugba lauds gov. Okowa developmental stride

A renowned charter Accountant and business mogul Mr. Jude Ogbimi has formally joined the race to contest for the Delta State House of Assembly Isoko North Constituency, he made his intention known to the People's Democratic Party Isoko North excos recently at Otor-Igho,Isoko North local government area of Delta State. 

Ogimi visited the PDP EXCO to formally for the first time to declare his intention join the assembly race. While addressing the crowd he noted that he is one of those fearless brave man that is very prepared to embark on a course that will propel Isoko North Constituency to a place they never envisage to be in the nearest future. 

Mr. Ogbimi use the occasion to commend the State governor Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa for his developmental strides in the State. Saying that one can see that the governor through his SMART AGENDA programmes, has done a lot , but the funds are not actually  there for him to do more and as things improve, governor Okowa will give the State more developmental projects because he has the interest of the populace at heart. 

Mr. Ogbimi however affirmed that, if given the mandate, he will deal with the people directly, the ward chairmen, exco members,the youths, women and elders of the party.And vow never to operate autocratic government, noting that his government is going to be all inclusive and therefore call all hands to be on deck for easy victory.

He pointed out that as a leader he will not be a selective leader but a leader that everyone will have access to, adding that he is ready to represent the interest of every community in Isoko North Constituency if given the mandate. 

When asked by newsmen what form his desire to join the House of Assembly race ,he said "I see gross miss-representation in Isoko North Constituency that is what formed my desire to contest for the position and I will see that things are done in the right way. What is due to the people would be given to them. 

He also reiterate that his focus will be the youths and the women who form the nucleus of every society, noting that if they are okay the society will be okay and it is time for them to be appreciated. 

On his part the LGA chairman of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) Deacon Godwin Ogorugba said that Jude Ogbimi has come formally to declares his intention to contest for the position of the House Assembly Isoko North Constituency, noting that whatever he said people  will always read meaning to it.

Deacon Ogorugba further said that “Jude Ogbimi is a fearless man who is standing on his own as an individual, he has right to contest election. I don't have constitutional right to stop him from contesting just because we are from the same ward.” 

The PDP LGA chairman also praise governor for his developmental strides and prudent management of the State resources which has made Delta State not to experience the difficult situation in Kogi, Osun and Imo State respectively.
