Ambassador young Pirero Omatseye has declared
his intention to contest the Delta south senatorial race, saying it is time for
change.
Amb Omatseye disclosed this, while speaking
with journalists in Warri Delta state, on the 6th July 2018, noting
that his entry is to bring development to Delta south senatorial district.
“We must change our mindset for development to
come. I have come to liberate our senatorial district, some people have been
representing us for years, yet we have not seen changes, you can only give what
you have. No industry (s) yet we are a major oil producing district”. he said.

The
way to development is to work in synergy. This struggle for development is for
the youths, we are going to liberate ourselves from the stronghold of peanuts
and move into development. He appreciated the President Muhammadu Buhari for signing
the Not Too Young To Run bill into Law, thereby bringing down the age of
eligibility for different elective offices across the country, and making it
possible for the youths to meet up with their aspirations early and contest for
any elective position without any hindrance.
“Meanwhile,
in the build up to the 2019 general elections, the electoral body, INEC, has
taken it upon itself to build up the confidence, interest and support of the
Nigerian youths for the elections. So we are ready”
he added.
Answering questions on the rumors that some
big wings are likely to defect to his party APC to occupy same position he is
vying for, in his response, “let them
come, I don’t have a godfather, but I have God as a father, my focus is on the
cross and development. He said
