The president general of Isoko development union, high chief Iduh Amadhe, has expressed displeasure and decried the plight Isoko nation is going through over the excavated portion of Iyede / Ughelli road as the contractor is yet to complete the re- construction of the road project as promised.

Speaking to newsmen on the bad state of the road after accessing the present stage of work, Amadhe said, Oghara - Iyede, Ekiugbo - Iyede and Eboh - Iyede link and internal roads have all been destroyed due to heavy trucks plighting the road as the major Iyede / Ughelli road has been cut off.

He noted that, Isoko people are not happy at the state of the road even as he was informed of mass protests of all the villagers around Iyede axis due to the destruction of all the link and internal roads in the area by heavy traffic of vehicles.

The president general condemned the company failure to provide enough equipment, men and materials to complete the road project as economic life of the people have been destroyed and commuters groaning over the bad state of the road.

Amadhe called on the project director to invite the contractor for a meeting at Isoko Unity House to factor out immediate solution on the completion of the road project without much delay.

On his part, the project director, Hon. Sonny Onuoseke assured Amadhe of completing the road before on the 15th July 2018, promising that, more equipment and materials are on the way. He said, the volume of work ongoing is massive and the company will not fail Isoko people and the State government.
