How suspected yahoo boy caused policeman's death in Delta

A policeman has been reported dead with another seriously wounded in a fatal auto crash along Airport road in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State, DAILY POST can report.
At the time of filing this report, the injured policeman has been rushed to an undisclosed hospital where he is currently receiving treatment.
Newsmen learnt that the policeman from Ugborikoko Police Divisional Headquarters on routine stop-and-search at about 9pm on Thursday flagged down a “Yahoo boy” and his driver.
Rather than stop and clarify himself to the police, the “Yahoo boy” ordered his driver to zoom off.
The policeman, in a bid to arrest the suspected fraudster, dragged the steering with his (Yahoo boy’s) driver who was already on high speed.
The incident led to the fatal accident which claimed the life of the deceased policeman as he was crushed by the car.
When contacted, the Delta State Commissioner of Police,CP Muhammad Mustafa confirmed the report, disclosing that,”one policeman died. The other was rushed to the hospital. He is severely injured and receiving treatment.”
The menace of suspected “Yahoo boys” is on the increase in  Warri and its environs in Delta State.
Only recently, a staff of a television station in Warri, Mr. Peterson Itiowe, almost lost his life as a “Yahoo boy” hit him with his car leaving one other person dead, in what was suspected to be for ritual purposes.
