"Do not stay idle, learn skills to remain productive" Ogidi-Gbegbaje Admonishes youths

The Permanent Secretary Directorate of Government House and Protocol Mr. Eddy Ogidi-Gbegbaje has admonished youths to avail themselves of vocational skills training so as to become creators of jobs rather than staying idle.
Speaking yesterday (17/10/18) when the Directorate hosted a send-forth ceremony for the 2017 Batch B Stream 1 National Youth Service Corps(NYSC) members in Asaba, Mr. Ogidi-Gbegbaje explained that idleness was a disease that destroyed the creative part of an individual and could lead to disastrous outcome in their lives and the society.

According to him" As you are leaving service find a way of conquering idleness by acquiring one skill or the other so that you can become not just creators of employment but individuals that contributes to the growth and development of the society".
"For some of you, you may not get employment opportunities immediately, do not get frustrated and turn to a life of crime, rather engage yourselves, work hard, remain positive and trust that God Almighty has a plan for you" he added.

He commended the outgoing corps members for their selfless service in the Directorate stating that their positive attitude towards their duties in the Directorate would surely make ways for them in the labour market.
The Director of Finance and Accounts Directorate of Government House and Protocol Mr. Onyeamaechi Ekeruche advised the corps members to remain resilient as they pursued new endeavors outside the Directorate.

In a vote of thanks on the behalf of the corps members, Mr. Olafemi Toluwani thanked the staff and members of the Directorate for the warm accommodation and friendly working environment they received while they served and gave assurance to remain upright citizens after service.

Highpoint of the occasion was the presentation of gifts to the corps members by senior officers of the Directorate.
