ACNPN elects new exco
The Association of Community Newspaper publishers of Nigeria
(ACNPN), Delta State chapter has elected new officers that will run the affairs
of the association for the next three years.
Those elected are: Comrades Jude Obiemenyego, Chairman, Sir
December Gboru, Vice Chairman, Janet Wojuola, Secretary, Nnadi Odiwe, Treasure,
Alaska Ekele, Financial Secretary, Sir Eboagu Cyprian, Publicity Secretary,
Dave Onyia, Organizing Secretary and Segun Asere, Provost 1.
The newly elected chaiman, Mr Jude Obiemenyego in his acceptance
speech after his victory at the poll, he thanked God almighty for his emergence
as the Chairman of the ACNPN and promised to run all inclusive government where
every member will be reorganized. He also promised that he will ensure that all
privileges and rights due to members will be dully given to them.
“Accountability, transparency, equity and fair play will be one
of my focused points during my tenure, I therefore need your supports to
succeed” he said
The chairman also maintained that what led to the formation of the
association of Community Newspaper (ACNPN) as an umbrella body is to
disseminate information across the state to enable the grassroots feel impact.
However, Jude Obiemenyego revealed that the association is
registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission and have been working
assiduously to further integrate members into mainstream of informing massive
grassroots leadership on developmental issues.
The chairman emphasized that serious efforts have been made to
dissuade the youths from vices that are capable of truncating the progress and
development of the state.
