The pro African
wrestling heavy weight champion, Mr. Godpower Ikpide popularly called Powerlee
de great has paid a courtesy visit to the chief executive officer (CEO) of
Lagos state traffic management authority (LASTMA) AIG (Chief) Chris Olakpe JP
mni (Rtd) as part of his obligation to formally present the African wrestling
championship title to the LASTMA boss.

The LASTMA
boss who was enthusiastic, he prayed for Powerlee and his entourage and charged
Powerlee to go for the world belt and bring glory to his country, Nigeria. He stressed
that Powerlee has been able to prove to the world and Nigeria in particular
that an Isoko minority can excel where others cannot.

Powerlee,
while giving a vote of thanks, he appealed to all prominent Nigeria and
corporate bodies to come to the aid of wrestling because wrestling at the
moment need collaborations among the people.

He observed that wrestling is
gradually dying because for a very long time now, the tiers of government had
not invested in the sport of wrestling.
