----as Ozoro, Uzere Apostolic church Nigeria welcomes Pastor Uyeh

The Isoko nation was beehives of activities on the 7th, 8th October 2017 as the Apostolic church Nigeria, Uzere District central Assembly in Isoko south local government Area and Ozoro Area, the headquarters of Isoko north local government area, LAWNA Territory, both in Delta state held separate befitting reception to honour one of their own, pastor senior Gabriel Okpako Uyeh respectively as the 1st vice chairman of the Apostolic church Nigeria LAWNA Territory. Recalled that pastor Uyeh was formally inducted on the 30th July 2017 in a ceremony held at the LAWNA internatioal convention grounds Olorunda-Ketu Lagos state.

At the ozoro ceremony, pastor S.G.O Uyeh (JP) formally inducted pst M.B.E Arhuere as the superintendent of the Ozoro Area, LAWNA Territory while one the Area pastor, pastor Ekama read a brief profile of pastor Uyeh to the gathering.
According to the profile, pastor S.G.O Uyeh, contributed immensely to the growth of the Apostolic church in Isoko with great developmental strides from 1965-1995. During this period God used him to acquired land for the church at Ellu where the first house of worship was built before it was renovated to the present one now. After a period of time he was transferred to Ozoro with a promotion and became the 4th Ozoro sectional pastor in 1977 where he met 9 assemblies and added additional 7 assemblies which metamorphosed to a district in the year 1985 under Warri Area and pastor Uyeh became the first district pastor.

At the time pastor Uyeh went ahead and standardized other assemblies within the district by purchasing lands for them where houses of worship were built and also laid a foundation of an Area Headquarters and during his time there was constant evangelism and the power of God was in every nooks and crannies of the district and the chord of love and unity was strong and till date both young and old still refer to those days “in the time of Uyeh, during Uyeh’s time”

In 1995 his vision was actualized and Ozoro was created as an Area and he was promoted to the rank of a superintendent and he was transferred gloriously and honourably to Oleh to become the first Oleh Area superintendent.
Earlier, at Uzere, HRM Ambassador Dr. Henry Ukenukpepia Etuwede III had poured encomiums on pastor S.G.O Uyeh for his developmental strides in the work of God almighty. He attributed it to his dedication, loyalty and commitment to the service of God and that has led him to become the 1st vice chairman of the Apostolic church Nigeria, LAWNA Territory.

“Your family, Uzere and the entire Isoko nation are very proud of you for the honour you have brought to us. I am happy to be part of this event” the monarch said.
The wife, Deaconess S.G.O Uyeh expressed satisfaction and delighted, and said she was humble. “If the first late Deaconess had not laid a good foundation, I would not have met baba and it shows I have a lot of work to do and I also appreciate the portrait gift from the choir, God will uplift you all” she said.

In response, Pastor S.G.O Uyeh expressed satisfaction for the arossing welcome accorded him, especially the procession into Uzere kingdom, Stressing that he could still remember when he was choir master at the Uzere Assembly, Uzere district accorded same respect to late pastor Isaiah Ghele Sakpo when he was elected 2nd LAWNA Territorial chairman.

“I am humble and honoured, thank you for the respect, I want to appreciate Uzere monarch HRM Henry Ukenukpepia Etuwede III for being a part of this reception organized by Uzere district to welcome me, once again, I say thank you and God bless” he said.

Present at the occasion includes: Ibadan Area Superintendent, Jones Agbaka, Engr. Frank C. Mark, Hon. Emmanuel Egbabor, Chief Eyetuoma F.O. Sec. Uzere Council of Chiefs, Oletu Ebri Anthony, and amongst them were High (Chief) Iduh Amadhe, President General I.D.U., Prince Henry .O. Umute the Iyasere of Ellu Kingdom, to mention but few.
