Comrade Oruke bags NYTCN award of excellence

The Chairman of the Nigerian Red Cross Society, Isoko South Division recently at the Oleh Civic Centre was honour with the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Isoko South Chapter award of excellence in recognition of his contributions to the development of youths in the area.
In a brief chat with Isoko mirror after the Award of Excellence, the Chairman of the Nigerian Red Cross Society, Isoko South Division, Comrade Olotu Oruke (JP) stated that, this Award of Excellence by the National Youth Council of Nigeria, is timely and wonderful as a result of his activities, specifically in Isoko South as the Chairman of the Nigerian Red Cross Society”.

Comrade Oruke however urged the National Youth Council of Nigeria to make the event a yearly event. Noting that, people who are recognized to be contributing to the growth and development of the society should be rewarded every year with this Award of Excellence.
Comrade Oruke also said that, the seminar and lectures during the award ceremony will help to build the youths and make them better people in the nearest future.
Meanwhile another awardee at the event Prince Dennis Etene a retired teacher, while speaking to newsmen asserted that, “I don’t know that people are recognizing what I do, especially the development of the youths in Isoko and beyond”.
According to him, I retired as a teacher, during that time of my teaching for 35 years I was able to produced and bring-up children who are now matured men and women. Some of them when they see me they appreciate what I did for them.
Prince Etene also stated that, during that time as a teacher he was able to produce many athletes who represented the state and the country in various sports competition.


He therefore urged the youths not to look at another person’s, but look at their own future and work towards it. Noting that “the tree you will enjoy its shade should been planted today”.
