  • Pressures on Buhari to evacuate citizens from Libya, Italy
Some citizens have begun to mount pressure on President Muhammadu Buhari to make arrangements for the evacuation of Nigerian citizens who are becoming victims of neo-slave trade in several parts of Europe and North Africa, particularly, Italy and Libya.
Comrade Abdul Oroh, joined the league of advocates for evacuation of Nigerian citizens from Europe and North Africa. He demanded that the “federal government should set up a special task force headed by the Nigeria Navy to evacuate ‘Nigerian slaves, potential slaves,’ migrants and all victims of human trafficking from Italy and North Africa.” He maintained that “this matter is of urgent national importance;” appealing: “Alhaja Aisha Buhari please persuade your husband, our president, to please act now.”
African Slaves Libya
Celebrities like Chris Brown, Snoop Dogg, and Tuface Idibia have spoken up on the inhuman treatment of Nigerians in Libya. They demanded the federal government to send aids and protect Nigerians in Libya and in the diaspora as well.

Parents sell three sons for N50,000 each

A 40-year-old man identified as Magnus Nsikak, from Akwa Ibom State, has shown himself to be an unworthy stone-hearted parent with a twisted mind.

The suspect was alleged to have conspired with his 28-year-old wife, Ruth, to sell their three sons, 3-day-old Samuel, 5-year-old Ubong and 10-year-old Ekpo in Ikot-Abaji Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State, to a trafficker in Aba, Abia State, through a nurse in the city.
It was learnt that Ruth vehemently denied any knowledge of the evil deed, saying that she was actually deceived by her husband about the true status of the children, who she had been led to believe were being cared for by a member of their extended family in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.
The couple are now in the custody of the Family Support Unit of the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, Akwa Ibom State Police Command, where they are being interrogated.
It was gathered further from the Commissioner of Police, Zubairu Muazu, ongoing investigation has yielded a positive result as the eldest son, Ekpo has been recovered while efforts are being intensified by detectives to track down and recover the other two.
Muazu disclosed that the cookie began to crumble when the younger brother of Ruth became curious about the sudden absence of the children of his sister.
He asked the brother-in-law, Magnus, about them and got less-than-satisfactory answer from him. His further probe led to an altercation between them. Magnus later confessed his evil deed. Ruth’s brother was incensed by the horrific thing he heard and a fight broke out between him and Magnus. He was said to have beaten his in-law black and blue.
Ruth rushed to the Mkpat Enin Police Station to file a complaint against her brother on October 23, 2017.
In the course of questioning to ascertain the facts, Muazu explained that the truth tumbled out and she was detained. Her husband was also arrested and the case was transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Uyo, Akwa State capital, from where the matter was handed over to the Anti-Human Trafficking Section of the SCID on November 2, 2017.
Then November 9, Magnus led detectives to Aba, Abia State, to arrest the nurse, Stella Uchendu, 40, who arranged the illegal deal. She in turn took detectives to the home of Joy Ikechukwu, where Ekpo was recovered.
Muazu added that police detectives also arrested another suspect, Eucharia Daniel, who bought the three-day-old baby for N300,000 naira from Uchendu. He said that Uchendu passed on the baby to Joy Ikechukwu, who resold the newborn child to Judith Solomon Charles, for N500,000.
Sunday Sun further learnt that on the day that police detectives brought Joy to her home, Judith was said to have slumped in shock. Detectives quickly rushed her to a hospital, where she died.
On what could have led him into the evil deed, Magnus told Sunday Sun that he was beset by adversity.
His words: “My first wife and I had six children. She had mental problem and later died. Then I got married to Ruth in 2007 and we had four children. This thing happened when I had financial problem. I sold my three sons and left our daughter, Favour, who is five years old. I sold each of them for N50,000 to Stella Uchendu.

“Whenever my wife’s uncle and other people asked me about the children, I always told them that I took the children to people who will help them. Later I confessed to my wife’s uncle that I had sold the three children. That was when he fought with me and beat me very well before neighbours rescued me. My wife reported to the police.”
Magnus who hails from Ikot-Abasi Local Government Area, Akwa-Ibom, added that his wife knew that he was selling the children. After selling the three-day-old baby, he gave her N20, 000 naira. The baby which was bought by Judith is yet to be recovered.
In her own account, Ruth, the wife, confirmed that she married Magnus in 2007, but denied any complicity in the sales of the couple’s children.
She said: “My husband didn’t tell me that he sold our three sons. I gave birth to four children – three sons and a girl, Favour, who is five years old. My husband only told me that he took the three children to his uncle in Port Harcourt to train them. One day, he dialed a number and gave the phone to me to speak with his sister, who he said was taking care of my three children.
“I remember that in September, this year, after I gave birth to a baby boy in the church, on a Thursday, my husband took the baby from me on Sunday of that weekend and sold it. My husband and the nurse deceived me by saying that the baby and I tested positive to HIV and so the baby was taken away. Later my husband gave me N20,000 to eat food and recover from the pregnancy,” she stated.

After drinking pap with human parts, spirits now bring us money

Despite the offensive odour from the blue plastic bucket that contained human parts, many still waited to hear what the suspects will say as the Oyo State Police Command paraded three people caught in possession of two fresh human heads and legs, as well as the alleged killer of a former member of the House of Assembly in the state. The three young men informed the Police that their unbridled desires to get rich quick prompted them to get the human parts for money rituals.
The state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Abiodun Odude, during the parade, said the suspects were arrested by the Special Anti-Robbery Squad of the Command on November 11, following a tip-off by a member of the public. Odude added that the suspects confessed to have severed the body parts from corpses at a Muslim cemetery in Isale General Area of Ogbomoso. The three arrested suspects are Alfa Kareem, 37; Bello, 22, and Adebayo Yusuf. Confessions One of the suspects, Kareem, noted that this was his first attempt at using human parts for money rituals. The second suspect, Bello, said: “We went to Isale General at Ogbomoso to exhume the bodies at about 8p.m. On our way back, two inquisitive boys, who accosted us on the road, demanded to know where the offensive odour was from. “We tried to deceive them, but they were insistent. So we had to run. They caught Kareem before the Police arrested us at our homes.” Asked what they intended to do with the human parts, Taofeek said: “We wanted to use the parts for money rituals. If we had succeeded in taking them to our place, we would have dried and burnt them. “After burning the parts, we will grind same to powdery substance and mix some of it with soap to take our bath in the morning and to take pap at night. After we have done this, some weird creatures, who we generally call spirits, will bring the money to us— usually at night.” All of them, however, claimed it was the first time they would do such a thing. Asked how they got the knowledge of the ritual, they remained evasive in their responses. Lawmaker’s killer The Police Command also paraded a runaway killer of a member of Oyo State House of Assembly, Gideon Aremu, representing Oorelope Constituency, July last year. The commissioner said the suspect, who escaped to Ekiti, his country home, shortly after committing the act, had been on the Police wanted list. His words: “Nemesis caught up with the suspect when he was arrested in his criminal hideout after sneaking into the state and led another robbery gang to snatch a motorcycle from its owner at Egbeda area of the state.” The suspect, Arobiole, popularly called Judgment, did not deny when asked if he was the one that pulled the trigger. ‘How we killed him’ Narrating how he and two others committed the crime, Judgment said: “It was Toiheeb, who initiated the idea. The lawmaker was described as a very generous man, who always gave people in the neighbourhood money. “We trailed him to his house and as he tried to alight from the car, we pointed guns at him. The lawmaker was surprised to see his neighbour among us. He held him by the shirt and said ‘Even you.’ “We collected his phone then I shot him because he was struggling with us. We thought since he knew one of us, he would expose us sooner or later. It was after we killed him that we knew he was a very important person in Oyo State.”

I can command the rain to stop, I have power to heal the sick – Says Monarch

The Oluwo of Iwo land, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi has declared that he has the power to cause the rain to stop and heal people of sickness and afflictions. While speaking in a recent exclusive online interview, the Oluwo of Iwo land, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi, revealed how he commands the rain to stop.

The popular Nigerian monarch who got married to a Jamaican woman, who disclosed further that he has the power the power to heal people, also revealed that any man of God who does not pick up calls off others at night is a loser.

Oba Akanbi
The Oluwo of Iwo said: “I can command the rain to stop. I have done it more than once. An oba who doesn’t worship lesser gods, an oba that worships no other thing than God who does not sleep. If you have a pastor that sleeps that you are relying on, you are going to lose.

"If you have an Imam who has a wife and when he sleeps by his wife in the night, you call him and he can’t pick your call, you know you are a loser. If you have a babalawo as your backbone, your backbone will break. I have only God. It is not about Islam, it is not about Christianity, it is not about babalawo, it is about divinity.”

Oba Akanbi further said that many things about the traditional cultures in Yoruba land are divine and also narrated how he was able to stop the rain in Lekki area of Lagos.

He said: “Many things about the Yoruba culture and traditions are divine. Any function that I am attending and there is no canopy and there is rain coming I will tell it to go away. Many people have witnessed it in many places. There was even one with thundering and lightning, I said I am outside here, go back.

"There was another one, I told that rain, go to Lekki. Yes, and it would never rain. I have the power to say that, with the power of God and the position I am sitting in. That is why when I pray to God, I can command sickness to leave the person it is affecting to come to me. If I want to take anything like sickness or poverty from the land, I have to give it back to God that owns it.”

Why we killed FESTAC big boy- Friends

Detectives attached to the Inspector-General of Police Special Intelligence Response Team have arrested four men for allegedly killing Emmanuel Uba, alias Owan, at the Festac area of Lagos State.

The suspects: Michael Fashola (32), Mufutau Tokosi (35), Abidemi Adeleye (41) and Fatai Onifade (41), alias Apashe, were arrested after a manhunt for them for two weeks.
According to the suspects, they killed Uba because he was fond of intimidating them.
He was also said to be too popular in Festac Town for their liking.
They allegedly decided to kill him in order to have control of the community.

The suspects were arrested based on a petition written by the victim’s family to the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, urging that he should use every lawful means to fish out the killers of their son.

The IGP was said to have transferred the case to Assistant Commissioner of Police Abba Kyari, who is in charge of the IRT for further investigation.
One of the suspects, Fashola, said the deceased was a friend to the four of them before they parted ways after a disagreement.
Fashola said: “We were all together at Festac before the Lagos State local government election.
“During the election, we had different candidates we were working for.

“Uba wanted us to work for his own candidate, but we refused.
“And just because we refused to work with him, he started sending his boys to attack my boys and I.
“During one of the attacks, I was shot on my chest.
“We decided to kill him because of his popularity in the community.

“I believed then that if we didn’t kill him, it would be difficult for us to survive.”
Fashola was said to have contracted the three others to kill Uba.
After killing him, they took his three phones and threw them into a nearby river in order to avoid being tracked by the police.
A police source said: “It was Adeleye, who went and tricked Uba out of his house, while Fashola used his own car to block the deceased’s car.
“Tokosi and Fashola rode on a motorbike to the spot where Uba was blocked.
“They shot him on the head and escaped.”
Narrating his own story, Adeleye said the plan initially was to frighten Uba, not to kill him.
Adeleye added: “Yes, I was the person that went to his house to lure him out.
“I told him that he should come so that we could settle whatever differences were between his group and ours.
“He followed me willingly.
“When we got to 7th Avenue, Festac Town, Fashola’s car blocked Uba’s car.
“Tokosi and Fashola came to the scene on a motorbike.
“They threatened him and to my shock, I heard a gunshot and we all escaped.

“We were later arrested at different locations in Festac Town.”
Speaking, Tokosi said: “I invited Fashola to come when the heat was becoming too much for us.
“He was the one who brought the Berretta Pistol and Pump Action Rifle we used for the operation.
“When we got to the scene, I never knew the pistol was already cocked.

“Before I knew what was happening, the gun exploded and hit him on the head.”
One of the police investigators countering Fashola’s story said: “Tokosi is lying!
“He was the person that pulled the trigger and killed the victim.
“He shot him three times on the head, just to ensure that he was dead.
“When they were sure he was dead, they ran away from the scene.”
The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Edgal Imohimi, who paraded the suspects, said they would be charged to court after the completion of investigation.

Tinubu: No automatic ticket for Buhari

National leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Wednesday 22/11/2017 said there will be no automatic ticket for President Muhammadu Buhari in the 2019 elections.
Tinubu said Buhari was a product of due process and will not want anything short of same process.
The former Lagos state governor was reacting to the position of the governor of Imo state, Rochas Okorocha, who said there is no better man for the Presidency than President Muhammadu Buhari.
Okorocha made the position while addressing leaders of the ‘Democratic Youths Congress for Buhari 2019,” who were on a courtesy visit to him at the Government House, Owerri on Tuesday.
Tinubu who spoke in Akure during a visit to the leader of the Pan Yoruba Socio-political group, Afenifere, Pa. Reuben Fasoranti, said due process will be followed in determining who will be the Presidential candidate of the party in 2019.
Buhari and Tinubu
Other notable leaders on the visit included former interim Chairman of the APC, Chief Bisi Akande, South West Chairman of the party, Chief Pius Akinyelure among others.
They were received by Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, his deputy, Agboola Ajayi and the acting Chairman of the party in the state, Engr. Ade Adetimehin.
He said only the National Executive Council (NEC) of the party can meet and decide to have a concensus candidate.
“No governor can appropriate the power of endorsement to themselves. Buhari is a believer in process, the Buhari I know believes in rule of law.
“We wanted him even before the last convention and primaries of the party and Akeredolu is here standing with me, he was not the governor then. He was one of the leading delegates that voted properly and Buhari was a clear winner.
“We follow all the constitutional provision and an individual opinion does not matter at this stage, Buhari will want a normal process , Buhari that I know. Who says he will lose at any convention?
“But if the National body, the NEC and all of us as members, endorsed him as our single candidate, we will not be violating INEC regulations, we will not be violating our party’s constitution.
“What you are hearing is just a campaign. Buhari has not excluded anybody, and he has not affected ambition of anybody, “Tinubu said.
The APC leader said he was in the state to acknowledge the leadership of Pa. Reuben Fasoranti as the leader of the Yoruba race.
“I am in Akure to Acknowledge the leadership of Pa Fasoranti in our own race,as a great leader of the omoluwabi and in his evening, we want him to be happy ,he has been a great leader.
“His intellectual is still very intact. Seek his advise, seek his understanding and prayers ,that is why I am here, ” he noted.

How hunter shot dead younger brother as monkey

Detectives at the State Criminal Investigation Department, Kogi State Police Command, are hard-pressed trying to unravel how a monkey allegedly shot dead by a 65-year-old hunter, Clement Etila Ekele, transformed turned into his 45-year-old younger brother, Monday Ekele.
The tragic incident happened on recently at Ikaka village in Ibaji Local Government Area, Kogi State, as the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Wilson Inalegwu told Sunday Sun.
On the ill-fated day, Monday, the deceased, went to the farm about 5.00am. Three hours later, about 8.00am, Clement also went to the farm with his double barrel gun. At the farm, he saw a monkey on a tree and shot it. The monkey fell down.
When he ran to the foot of the tree to pick up the monkey, Clement said that what he saw was the dead body of his brother.
At the headquarters of the Kogi State police command where he has been detained while investigation into the matter is in progress, 65-year-old Clement, who hails from Ibaji Local Government Area of the state recalled the experience this way: “I hunt for monkeys. I have never had any misunderstanding with my younger brother, Monday Ekele. On that day, he went to the farm before me. Later I also went to the farm with my gun. There, I saw a monkey on the tree. I shot the monkey but when I wanted to carry the dead monkey, it changed into my younger brother. I didn’t know what came over me; I couldn’t understand myself. I ran back to the village and I started drinking beer and rejoicing. Later, I told my friend Anthony that I shot my younger brother dead.”

Hunter
He spoke further: “The gods I worship failed me because I refused to perform certain sacrificial rites. They became angry with me; I have been a hunter for years, I never shot anybody. Why must I kill my own brother? We live together, our houses are opposite each other. I have been having misunderstanding with the people in my community. They only envy me.”
When his friend broke the tragic news to the villagers, some of the people rushed to the police to report the incident as the deceased was the chairman of the local vigilance group.
In the quest to learn more, Sunday Sun visited Ikaka village and met Ali Ibrahim, who shed light on the tragic incident.
Ibrahim told Sunday Sun that the suspect, Clement, believed so much in charms and had been terrorizing the villagers with his prowess in diabolic practice.
“When we heard that he shot his brother, Monday, who was the chairman of the vigilance group. Before this incident happened, he would always threaten to deal with anybody that crossed his path. He often carried out the threat. So he has been a terror to us. People in our village were so afraid of him, and were under some kind of bondage when he was around. As it is now, we don’t want him to come back to the village again. He has dealt with several of his opponents,” Ibrahim said.

The Public Complaints Rapid Response Unit (PCRRU) of the Nigerian Police Force (NPF) has revealed that the amount extorted from citizens by officers within November 13, 2015 and November 13, 2017 was N11.1 million and $800.
According to the Head of PCRRU, Abayomi Shogunle, an Assistant Commissioner of Police, (ACP), this was contained in a report by the unit which covered the period.
He stated that the police authority received 7,216 cases of professional misconduct by men of the force in the past two years.
Lagos, Rivers and the FCT commands recorded the highest number of complaints against policemen while Sokoto, Yobe and Kebbi states recorded the lowest.

Shogunle revealed that 5,927 of the cases were resolved amicably; 729 still pending and 560 were found to be false.
He said 1,820 of the cases were requests for bail from members of the public and that 328 were for benefits while 278 centered on distress calls.
Shogunle noted that 81 officers were sanctioned during the period for various professional misconducts – 10 officers were dismissed for professional misconduct; one reprimanded; 64 others given various punishments; four officers had their ranks reduced, while two were suspended.
He revealed that the highest ranking officer sanctioned during the period is an Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP).
Shogunle said 87, 600 telephone calls were received; 5,175 were treated as complaints while 4, 207 e-mails were received on complaints.
He pointed out that there was need to strengthen the capacity of the unit to take more calls from members of the public, noting that majority of the people preferred sending their complaints via telephone.
Shogunle, who canvassed for more powers for the police, said such powers should not be without severe sanctions in case of abuse by officers.
“The police should be given more powers and severe sanctions should also be visited on officers, who abuse their positions,” he said.

Senate to investigate death of 26 girls on mediterranean

The Senate is to investigate the death of 26 young Nigerian girls on the Mediterranean while travelling to Italy.
The measure followed a resolution on a motion “On death of 26 Young Nigerian Girls en route Italy”, sponsored by Sen. Rose Oko (PDP-Cross-River) during
Thursday’s plenary.
The assembly also commended the Italian authorities for immediately stepping into the matter with the hope of resolving the murders.
It called on the Federal Government to set up an inter-agency committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nigerian Immigration Service, National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons to immediately work out a strategy to check such development.
The Senate also called on government to declare a state of emergency on unemployment and come out with more pro-active measures to engage the youth.
“On Nov. 6 it was reported by national and international media the gruesome story of the dead bodies of 26 young Nigerian girls of ages 14 to 18 discovered in a Spanish warship.
“The suspicion was that they were sexually abused and murdered,” Oko said.
She noted that there was mass exodus of young Nigerian boys and girls illegally attempting to migrate to Europe, especially to Italy and Spain.
“These journeys are through the perilous long and hazardous Sahara Desert and the Mediterranean sea.
“They run into the hands of bandits, are abused and raped and the dangerous sea waves often in rickety rubber boats.
“This has led to the death of several of them almost every week,” the senator said.
She said that as of May, it was reported that about 10,000 Nigerians had perished along the Sahara Desert-Libya- Mediterranean Sea route.
She noted that Italian prosecutors who had begun investigation into the death of the girls had arrested an Egyptian and a Libyan as suspects.
“This mass exodus of our children from the relative safety and security of home to the often cold hands of death have arisen and are increasing as a result of the economic hardships at home, including the unemployment situation in Nigeria.”
She said it was time to go beyond the mere feeling of horror to taking pro-active, urgent and emergency measures to address the root causes of the exodus, including massive enlightenment on the dangers therein.
Oko added that an inter-agency cooperation and collaboration was urgently needed by government to address this problem.
Sen. Shehu Sani (APC-Kaduna) described the incident as a national tragedy.
“It is unfortunate that year in year out thousands of Africans, including Nigerians, perish on their way to Europe in search of greener pastures,” Sani said.
He said that factors that led to the exodus included poverty, economic instability, unrealisable dreams and illusions as well as other components related to drug trafficking and terrorism.
“It is unfortunate that we continue to ignore this tragedy that is before us; 26 lives lost is one tragedy too many,” Sani said.
He called for actions that would stop young men and women moving into the hands of drug and human traffickers.
“It is high time that the relevant agencies of government did everything possible to stem the tide.”
Sen. Suleiman Adokwe (PDP-Nasarawa State) said: “since the Italian Government was investigating, it is expected of the Nigerian government to by now, make definite statements as to how they will expect the Italian government to investigate this thing thoroughly.
“We must be proactive,” Adokwe said.
In his remarks, the Deputy President of the Senate, Mr Ike Ekweremadu, who presided over plenary, said government owed citizens of Nigeria the responsibility to provide the basic needs of life.
“We must not fail on this responsibility. It is important for us to think of how to provide social security for our people.
“We should ensure that every Nigerian has food to eat.
“There is no money on the streets outside the country.
“The young men and women should know that it is better for us to stay back in Nigeria and be able to build a better country.”

UNIDEF declares for GPN, promises 5million votes in 2019.

----as Fasheun laments state of the nation
The Green party of Nigeria has received a pledge of 5million votes from the Niger Delta region ahead of 2019 general elections.
The president of the united Niger Deltan forum, comrade Gabriel Ogheneovo Ese made this pledge at the 10years anniversary of UNIDEF held on the 4th November 2017 at century hotel Lagos.
Comrade Ese who is Optimistic about the victory of Green party of Nigerian in 2019 general elections assureds members that GPN will bring succor to Nigerians, looking at the calibers of persons whose pedigree will dignify the interests of the less privilege Nigerians which constitute the largest percentage of the citizenry.
Speaking further, comrade Ese explained that, UNIDEF decided to pinch tent with GPN because of its lofty ideals, believing that GPN will do well, if eventually enthroned in 2019, Stressing that UNIDEF is a body that is divinely commissioned to address an age-long deprivation of God’s endowment which ordinarily would have been a blessing to the Niger Delta region and the nation at large but, turned out to be an instrument of impoverishment because of bad leadership of some unholy collaboration between some quisling and invading powers that be. He said UNIDEF is in 18 states of the federation.
Earlier, the founder of Odua people’s congress (OPC) and chieftain of GPN had informed the gathering that there is hunger in the nation and only GPN, with the help of God almighty can remove the hunger from the nation, Stressing that every Nigerian especially the Less-privilege ones (masses) are suffering in the midst of plenty and noted that the only way out is to come together and collectively push hunger away by voting for Green party of Nigeria in 2019 general elections.

The GPN presidential hopeful, by the special grace of God in 2019, Major, Dr Hamza AL-Mustapha has urged all Nigerians to work collectively to wrestle power from the clique that has caused hardship for the entire nation through inept leadership.
