and the newly elected executive of Isoko national youths Assembly.
On a phone
conversation with the IDU President General, High Chief Iduh Amaidhe, he
confirmed to Isoko mirror that a peace process has actually been set on motion
through the traditional oath taking . He
said, the oath taking took place in a place between the two communities because
a boundary is yet to be demarcated for the two communities due to the current
high volume of water (flood) which has prevented the surveyors and the
committee in charge of setting up a boundary for the two communities. He
narrated that the traditional oath taking is to allow the two communities to
sheathe their swords and live peacefully with one another pending when the
volume of water will go down

Chief
Amaidhe who expressed satisfaction over the outcome of the traditional oath
taking process, he stressed that the IDU in collaboration with all stake
holders in the crisis are working seriously towards a process where the
inhabitants of both communities will be visiting each other without fear or
molestation “What happened on the 4th of September 2017 is to set a peace process on motion to allow a sleeping dog laid. I must say that because of the flood at the moment, there is no boundary demarcation yet, because the surveyors could not get to work and we and other stakeholders are also monitoring the level of compliance of the peace process by both communities because the traditional oath taking is just a starting point.
