Desist from using Isoko as a tool for political campaign – IDU scribe

It has become imperative to savage the Blurred image of Isoko ethnic nationality so as to take her dignity among the comity of ethnic nationalities in Nigeria and beyond, but for the subtle conduct of some people bent on dampening the image of Isoko nation for their selfish interest.

To this end, the secretary of Isoko development union (IDU) Warri branch Mr. Onothoja Eneriakpoze Godspower has debunked the political campaign slogan of some Poitical aspirants as campaigns intensify towards the anticipated political election in 2019.

Mr. Onothoja Eneriakpoze
In his assertion, he said his interest was not in coming to the pages of newspapers to confront any individual or group, but as a stakeholder in the Isoko National project, he decried the attitude of some who have abused Isoko nation as barbaric and wicked people who are now suddenly taking a U-turn and singing a new song with the slogan of “Isoko Majovo” This he observed is a gross abuse of the sensibility of the Isoko people and in other words a form of mental and physiological torture.

Isoko Nation has grown beyond the assumption of certain individuals who sees her as a rudderless ship that can be easily exploited. My burden goes primarily on the youths who are swiftly exploited due to lack of proper orientation. He advise the youth to wake up from their slumber and face life squarely. Those among the youths who previously received motorcycle (Okada) and Belgium cars are back to the streets hungry and beggarly while the authors of these “Greek Gift” are still intact with the billions of the constituency funds in their coffers, were the youths rational in their right thinking, they would have demanded for tangible small scale enterprise SME Empowerment that would engage a reasonable number of unemployed youths not a scanty few for a Greek Offer.

Onothoja Godspower further lamented the attitude of some in political positions who sees themselves as the utmost and feign that the labors of their hands had made them such. He enjoined such to have a rethink as pride goes before a fall. He cited Nebuchadnezzar and the rich fool in the Holy Bible Record.

Speaking further, he caution those who live on public wealth either constituency or community to also have a rethink saying, peace hardly resides with such wealth. He recalled the story of some people in Isoko Nation who connived and conceded part of the nation for a new state creation with an evil monetary gain. This is a clear similarity of the Gehazi’s reward.

He affirmed the Isoko adage that says “The parrot feather you picked during a dancing carnival will also fall and get lost along the dancing carnival”. In essence what you did not own is not yours. He said
