forefront runner for Warri Federal constituency at the incoming 2019
general election, Chief Thomas Ereyitomi has condoled with the Warri
South-West Peoples Democratic Party, PDP
over
the sudden demise of former Chairman Warri South-West Local Government
Council, Hon. David Opopo Atikpekpe, who passed on recently after an
illness.
Chief
Ereyitomi who is also a commissioner representing Itsekiri ethnic
Nationality on the Board of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development
Commission, DESOPADEC, made the statement recently in Warri, Delta
State.
The Warri Federal
House of Representatives hopeful described the former Warri South-West
local government area council Chairman, late Hon. Atikpekpe as a dogged
man who manages political issues that concerns Warri South West Local
Government Area very well and the itsekiri nation in general hence
cannot be forgotten in decades to come.
He
said thus " We Wish to express our deepest sympathy to the family and
people of Warri South West Local Government Area on the sudden death of
our brother, leader, political icon and facilitator, a strong believer
of democracy and a former Local Government Chairman" accept our
heartfelt condolence. he added.
The
Warri Chief prayed God in his infinite mercies to grant late Hon.
Atikpekpe eternal rest and continue to protect the immediate and
political family he left behind.
