The
Emede progress union, Lagos branch has held a befitting wake-keep and service
of songs for the former chairman of the branch, late pastor Isaac Andy Ogidara Amagada who died on the 13th
of January 2018 after a brief illness. Pastor Amagada was also a former 2nd
vice president of Isoko Development Union, Lagos branch.
The
wake-keep and service of songs held at No 22B, Opaleye street, off Bale
Aiyetoro, Ajegunle in Ajeromi Ifelodun local government area of Lagos state
attracted dignitaries and prominent sons and daughters of Emede kingdom
resident in Lagos, including clergy men.

The
service of songs was presided over by pst, Dr. E.O. Akpata and assisted by
Apostle Dr. Ifeanyi Amaechi and Rev. Felix Ogadeji. Pastor E.O. Akpata used the
medium to inform the gathering that another service of songs will take place on
2nd May 2018 at his residence in Benin city before the final burial
at his home town, Emede in Isoko south local government area of Delta state on
the 5th may 2018.
The
chairman of the Emede progress union, Lagos branch, Mr. Joseph Okpeki who
presided over the wake-keep had informed the gathering that the branch will
play their major role at home in accordance to their bye laws and used the
medium to pour accolades and eulogize the late Amagada for his selfless service
to humanity and larger society.
The
lagos branch of the Isoko Development union led by Mr. Ifoge also play their
little role as expected of them and the co-tenants of late Amagada also
contributed their little quota to the wake-keep/service of songs.
The
eldest son of late Amagada, Mr. Robinson who gave vote of thanks on behalf of
the family, he appreciated the presence of all the guests who had find time to
attend the ceremony while wishing everyone journey mercies back to their
various destinations.
