Violence marred Isoko north APC congress,as party adopt unity lists in Isoko south.

Violence marred All Progressive Congress Local Government congress in Isoko North local government area of Delta State as some of APC supporters were seriously injured,as Isoko South adopt unity lists. 

The violence which erupted as some faction of  APC supporters led by Prince Maikpobi Okareme, Othe Peter, Omoviro Williams, Onaimo Luis among others allegedly led other APC members to conduct the party Isoko North LGA ward congress at the residence of late Senator Spanner Okpozo.

A source who pleaded anonymous, said that, "All party leaders were seated here at the party LGA Secretariat when some of APC members came with cameras to video us before they left for late Senator Spanner Okpozo to conduct their own set of congress while the former LGA chairman and all the party leaders here in Isoko North were all seated waiting for INEC officials and party officials from national to come before we commence"

He also said that"then we heard that the other faction are conducting their own Congress at the residence of late Senator Spanner Okpozo which is unlawful. It is not in line with our party constitution which we all kicked against. In a bid to stop it that resulted to the violence."

Our reporter gathered that, over four persons allegedly leaders of APC in Isoko North were seriously injured and hospitalized in an undisclosed hospital while others were seriously beaten in the violence that erupted between APC members before the Congress.

Meanwhile, the LGA Congress was later conducted peacefully after INEC officials visited the party Secretariat and Sir Godwin Dimwabor emerged as party LGA chairman among others.

In his acceptance speech, Sir Godwin Dimwabor urged all APC members to work for the success of party, noting that, his administration welcome constructive criticism that will help move the party to higher heights as well as harmonize everyone together to help curb away faction.

On his part, an aspirant vying for APC state chairmanship, Barr. Chief Fred Obe advised all APC members to shun violence in all the party activities in order to create a good image of the party as a ruling party at the Federal level.
Meanwhile, the congress in Isoko South was not held at the time our correspondent visit the venue of the congress at Isoko Central School Oleh,members of the party from various ward were seen at the venue, but none of the prominent leaders of the party in the likes of Dr. Ogaga Ifowodo,Hon.Benjamin­ Essien Okiemute, Hon.Benjamin Efemona Efekodo, Chief Joe Arausi, Chief Lucky Esigie, Hon. Lucky Okperi,Barr.Rockson Igelige and Barr. John Urete were seen at the venue of LGA congress,it was only Chief Joshua Uturu who came and hurriedly and left the venue of the congress. 
According to a source who spoke in anonymity asserted that,the APC in Isoko South adopted a unity lists in other to accommodate all interest to avoid friction and conflict in the party.
Meanwhile Hon. Oni Obrogo emerged as the chairman of the party (APC) in Isoko South local government.
