The Leadership of Association of
Community Newspaper Publishers of Nigeria, Delta state Chapter, has been
commended for living up to expectation in managing the Association resources
prudently.
The Chief Press Secretary to the
Govenor, Mr Charlse Aniagwu made the remark while addressing Publishers in
their secretariat during his visit to the group recently.
While speaking, he explained how the
state government is constructing roads in all the local government across the
state, even in creek areas.

According to him, the governor Ifeanyi
Okowa is working hard to ensure that all detans experience prosperity by
proving the needed infrastructure that prompted good living for the people. He
noted that despite the paucity of funds, the state government has completed 92
roads, wile over 103 roads are ongoing, including the massive flood control
going on the state capital.
He said the completion of the Airport
would be in two months’ time due to the fact that the former contractor
executing the project willingly resigned while the government has engaged a new
and competent contractor who has shut the Airport down for effective
completion.
He pointed out that the state government
in collaboration with schools in the state has drawn up measures to engage
students in profiting sports Activities. He noted that
The stadium will be completed within
a short time to enable students maximize the benefit.
Mr. Charles revealed that he is happy
doing his job, because the government is coming out verifiable project and that
has made his work easier.
Speaking also, was the Chairman of
ACNPN, Mr. Jude Obienyengo who draw the attention of the Chief Press secretary
to the Security summit that will be hosted by the Association in August 2018.
He assured Mr. Charles the
preparedness of the group to hold the summit ahead of general election in 2019,
while appealing to him to run an all-inclusive system whereby all publishers
will be adequately represented and “as we are indivisible body”
