Mrs Okowa storms Oleh with free medical services

It was a free-for-all Medical attention at Oleh General Hospital on 31st of May to June 2nd 2018 as Dame Edith Okowa , the wife of the executive Governor of Delta State stormed Isoko South with her 05 initiative in one of the numerous benevolent services to reach out to needs of the indigents and the helpless.
This is not unconnected with the fulfillment of one of the electioneering promises of her husband to secure Prosperity for all Deltans and good health is one of the said prosperity.
In the opening ceremony, Dame ( Mrs ) Okowa admonishes closeness to God as one of the major tools to make a people healthy to enjoy life to the fullest.

Speaking as the occasion, Hon. C. I Ikpokpo, the executive Chairman. Isoko South L.G.A whole heartedly welcome the first lady to the Area.
Some other dignitaries present are the wife of the deputy Governor, Mrs Otuaro, Mrs Erijoh and Hon. Mrs Orezi Esievo, member Delta House of Assembly representing Isoko South Constituency 1.
Others present are a host of traditional rulers, HRH, Omogha 1 JP, the Odiologbo of Oleh and chairman council of traditional rulers in Isoko, HRH Obukeni 1 JP the Ovie of Igbide and a host of men of God.
The Odiologbo of Oleh offered the traditional prayers to the first lady.
The closing prayer of the opening ceremony was conducted by Arch-Bishop Apena who prayed for the sure success of the Okowa 2019 ambition with the slogan, " Okowa carry go "
IsokoMirror gathered that a total number of 923 patients registered for the free Medical attention. In the said number, patients with divers eyes diseases got 656, 87 were operated of Cataract, Glaucoma and or Pterygium, 569 got reading glasses and the outstanding number of the computation received general drugs of diverse complaints. Statistics shows that 308 were males and 615 were females of which IsokoMirror reporter Mr Idama O. Michael is one of the beneficiary of those who received the surgery of the Pterygium of the eye.
Day 2 of the programme, when the dressings were removed from the eyes of those operated, the air was saturated with songs of praises  to God in Isoko lyrics with much testimonies of " I can now see "
IsokoMirror gathered that recipients promised to reciprocate this kind gesture from Okowa administration with their Permanent Voters Card come 2019 for one good turn, they say deserves another.
During the interview session, most of the respondents prayed for the success of Okowa in further endeavours, while others thank the Medical team for a faithful job well done and the media crew that disseminated the information in facebook and other media for the public to avail themselves with this opportunity.
The medical team train now moves to Isoko north for other beneficiaries.
