Late pa Johnson Imelu, the odio Orere of Uzere kingdom buried

Late Pa Johnson Imelu, who was born 105 years ago, died peacefully on Friday, 9th March, 2018. He was buried on Friday, 17th August 2018 in his compound in Paris Quarter, Uzere and a grand reception/entertainment of guests followed immediately at Ogri Primary School, Uzere which attracted people from different parts of Nigeria and from all works of life.

An interdenominational Church Service was held as part of the burial ceremony under the auspices of the International Council of Charismatic Gospel Ministers and Royal College of Bishops.

The officiating Ministers at the interdenominational Funeral Service included Rev. Dr. John M.A. Odooh, the General Overseer, Truth and Faith Bible Church, Oleh, 2. Rev. Apostle J.E. Atumu, the General Overseer, Christ Preaching Church, Irri,

3. Very Rev. Gospel Aviado, the General Overseer, Christ Fire Healing Mission, Oleh,

4. Bishop Dr. G. Isodhe, the General Overseer, God’s Glory Deliverance Ministry, Enwhe and other Ministers. The Choir of Truth and Faith Bible Church, Oleh was in attendance.

Financial constraint made Late Pa Johnson Imelu drop out of primary school. In spite of this, he was able to read the Isoko Bible.

Late Pa Johnson Imelu was a successful tailor, trader and fisherman who lived a fulfilled life.

He was a great footballer and a great draft player.

He was a great Community Leader. He was faithful and honest and he rendered meritorious service for many years in the Oletu Ovrawha Committee and the Odheiko Committee.

He always stood for the truth and spoke the truth no matter whose ox is gored.

He was the Head of many families in Uzere viz:- Enero Family, Atarie Family, Egiagia Family, Onotame Family, Onomoya/Odhugo Family, Oga Family, Omoda Family, etc.

In spite of the false claims due to human pride, and the unfortunate controversy that surrounded the Odio Orere Issue, through the quick intervention and thorough investigation by the appropriate authorities in Uzere Kingdom, Late Pa Johnson Imelu was recognized and acknowledged as the true and authentic ODIO ORERE OF UZERE KINGDOM i.e. the oldest Man in age in the whole of Uzere Kingdom. It is a known fact in Uzere that Late Pa Johnson Imelu was older than those who were/are older than his rival. There was, therefore, no basis for the false claims and unfortunate controversy in the first place. Late Pa Johnson Imelu was the Odio Ologbo of Uruehe Sub-Community, the Odio Ologbo of Ezede Community and the Odio Orere of Uzere Kingdom. Late Pa Johnson Imelu was the proud father of Archbishop (Prof.) Akpezi Imelu, Mr Emmanuel Imelu, Mrs Mary Ogbeta, Mr. Solomon Imelu and Miss Enifome Imelu who died in February, 2018. He had many grand children and great grand children and many relatives and in-laws. He was a great, loving and caring father.

Late Pa Johnson Imelu was the younger brother and the only brother of Late Pastor I.G. Sakpo and the Outing/Thanksgiving Service was held at The Apostolic Church, Uzere on Sunday, 19th August, 2018.
