The chief medical director of Oscar trado medical clinic
located at Ijanikin area of Lagos state has called on the federal and state
governments to establish a school of herbal medicine or a training centre for
herbal practitioners in the country, just as it is in China and other places.
High chief Dr Oscar Itimi made this disclosure while briefing the press on God
almighty.

had used him to save a lot of lives through the applications
of herbs. He noted that since the medicine (Drugs) is produced from herbs, he
reasoned that there is need to establish a school of herbal medicine in the
country to train those who knows the potency and efficacy of herbs just as
teaching hospitals are being used as parameter to train medical doctors around
the globe. Dr Oscar further stressed that the call become necessary because
despite the efficacy and potency of herbs, herbal practitioners have not
received the right training on how to apply some of these herbs medicine,
stressing that such school or training centre will be able to remove such
anomalies being experience at the moment and concluded by saying that the
establishment of such school or training centre will boost the primary health
care of the country.
"Gentlemen of the press, I want to say that, God
almighty has used me in several ways to save lives through the applications of
herbs and in view of that, I want to used this medium to call on the Federal
and State governments to establish a school of herbal medicine or a training
centre to train herbal practitioners. I am convinced that with such move, not
only there will be discipline and guidelines in the profession, it will also
boost the primary health care of the nation" he noted.
