The family of Miakpo Emiaso made history recently when it became the first family in Uzere and in Isoko as a whole with the largest number of lawyers making it the first family in Isoko to achieve this landmark feat.
An elated Miakpo Emiaso who himself has been a legal practitioner for thirty years having been called to the Nigerian Bar in 1989 took to his Facebook page in July glorifying God when his youngest son Barrister Uwomano Emiaso was called to the Nigerian Bar.
With Uwomano’s call to Bar, the family now has a total of four lawyers with both parents and two sons being legal practitioners and for which members of the family are grateful to God.
Rejoicing with the family in a comment, the presiding Bishop and head of mission of Gospel Church of Christ, Bishop Eric Emiaso said “I congratulate this household of barristers. No one can now mess us up as they will ensure we enjoy free and proper justice when oppressed” while a chief magistrate in Ekiti State, His Worship Mrs. Egbedina, in her congratulatory message said “You are gradually making this profession a generational one”.
In his own reaction, His Royal Majesty Henry Etuwede 111, the Ovie of Uzere, said he is happy that this feat is happening during his reign and congratulated Barrister Emiaso for producing a clan of lawyers from Uzere which is a thing of joy and pride to Uzere.
When Isoko Mirror contacted Barrister Miakpo Emiaso, he said “What can I say other than that I am grateful to the Almighty God who has made this to happen in my humble family?” he noted.
