Ejumejowo accuses Egbabor of disobeying court order

The counsel to Oruamudu and Etevie families Barrister Anothony Asuotu Ejemejowo has accused the chairman of Isoko north local government area of disobeying court orders.
Barrister Ejumejowo disclosed this while speaking to journalists over a land boundary dispute between his clients and Isoko north local government area headed by Mr. Emmauel Egbabor. He noted that, the court had ordered in 2016 that both parties should maintained status quo ante while referring the matter to arbitration.

He lamented that while both parties are yet to conclude the process of arbitration as ordered by the court, Egbabor in connivance with his council officials allegedly sold part of the disputed land to third parties in disobedience to court order.
Barrister Ejemojowo who was not happy with the action of Egbabor, lamented that his firm has commenced the processes of serving on the council chairman and other officials to show cause why an order of committal to prison should not be made against them.
According to him, he has written a petitions against the council chairman and other officials to Isoko Development union (I.D.U), the police area command Ozoro while the DSS, the Delta state police commissioner were copied, however, he appealed to the Governor, Dr. Okowa to use his good office to intervene and call the council chairman, Mr. Egbabor to order and stop further intimidation and harrassement of his clients.
In the petition, the legal firm warmed seriously that if no concrete action is taken as quickly as possible, they shall commence a legal action against the Delta state government for illegal allocation of their clients land to politicians and their cronies without their clients consent and knowledge which is the crop of the matter before the High court of justice Delta state.
Meanwhile, Ejumejowo law firm has written a letter to the chief judge of Delta state for immediate transfer of the case from Ozoro high court to another judicial division on the grounds of safety and security of counsels from his chambers.
