Mrs. Bilikisu Olushesi has approached an Igando customary court in
Alimosho local government area of Lagos state recently asking for the
dissolution of her marriage on the ground of sex starvation, stressing that her
husband Mr. Olushesi has starved her sex in the past two years, making her fall
ill frequently.
Mrs. Bilikisu noted that her husband has also refused to care for
her and their child.
The husband, Mr. Olushesi did not deny the allegation of sex
starvation but blamed his wife, Bilikisu as the root cause of her problem. He
noted that his wife once denied him sex and since then he decided to abandon
her
“Yes I starved her of sex, it is tit for-tat, there was a day I
entered her room to sleep with her, she left the bed and slept on the floor. I
made about eight (8) attempts to sleep with her, but she refused since that day
I just put her aside, after all she is not the only wife I have”
However, Mr. Olushesi denied the allegation of not caring for her
and child, claiming that he is responsible for regular supply of food-stuff at
home.
At this junction, Mr. Olushesi consented to the dissolution of
their marriage and urged the court to grant the wish of his wife as he was no
longer interested in the marriage.
However, the president of
the customary court, Akin Akinniyi, after carefully listening to argument and
presentation of the estrange couple, he advised them to reconcile and maintain
peace and adjourned the matter to April 12 for judgement.
