Big Warri, Itsekiri ancestral community gets new Olare-Aja (Oldest Man)

His emergence is historic --Dimas declares


Ode-Itsekiri community (Big Warri) the ancestral home of all Itsekiri nation was agog Saturday June 6 as last born of the Gbenegbitse dynasty, Pa. Johnson Inomiebioritse Gbenebitse was installed as the Olare-Aja (Oldest Man) of Ode-Itsekiri-Olu community, Warri South Local Government Area, Delta State.

The newly installed Olare-Aja of Ode-Itsekiri Pa. Gbenebitse in his acceptance speech thanked God for giving him the grace to be made Olare-Aja (oldest man) of the Itsekiri community, he  appreciated Ode-Itsekiri people for their show of love and for the privilege to serve as the Olare-Aja.

He solicited  for maximum support from   youths, women and elders of the warri community in order to move the town forward he as well thanked the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Ikenwoli for  his love and  role in attracting development to Big Warri community  as well as sending his Chiefs to witness and be part of the event, he commended the Member representing Warri Federal Constituency, Hon. Chief Thomas Eteyitomi for coming to celebrate with him.


The Principal of Dore College and grandson son to the Olare-Aja, Comrade Ejoh Dimas  disclosed that they have decided to celebrate the Olare-Aja  Pa. Gbenebitse in a unique way because it is historic to the Gbenebitse family and Warri Kingdom.

Comrade Dimas solicited for support for the Olare-Aja and appealed to companies to come locate their firms in Big Warri as it is very peaceful and good for business to thrive.

According Comrade Dimas the family have decided to celebrate it big because The Olare-Aja (Oldest Man) is  also the first person to be installed as Olare-Aja from the Gbenebitse dynasty after the father had successfully crowned one of Olu of Warri in time past.

Big Warri Community Management Committee,  Public Relations Officer and immediate past Secretary to Warri South Local Government, Hon. Bawo Alex Nanna congratulated the new Olare-Aja of Ode-Itsekiri and assured on behalf of the exco of the entire community to collaborate with the oldest man in moving the community forward.

Hon. Bawo Nanna urged all to give the Olare-Aja the necessary cooperation to re-position the community into enviable heights as well as absolute support.

Present at the epoch event were: the Uwangue of Warri, Chief Gabriel Awala, Warri Chiefs,  Big Warri community Trust Chairman, Chief Patrick Yalaju,  Head of Personnel Management, HPM, Warri South LGC, Comrade Douglas Akambe and others.
