8 Ase Communities disassociates self from ADU
as Ase elites reacts

The President-General of Ase
Elite League and Assembly (AELA) has called on Ase Development Union (ADU),
to stop deceiving themselves by the claim that ADU is the only recognised Union
in Ase Kingdom. The Elites claimed that the Union desires to swallow-up any
other Union in Ase, while also seizing the Kingdom source of fund is not
acceptable.
The League’s President-General, Patrician
Balogun I.E Abanum made this remark while reacting to issues raised in the
just concluded ADU conference held on the 14th of April 2017. The League again
reminded the ADU that every Ase Indigene is a member of Ase community, but not
all Ase indigenes are member of Ase Development Union. As such, the Elites
called on ADU to stop calling their conference, Ase Community Conference but
instead, ADU conference. The President-General noted that the mere fact that
Ase Development Union (ADU) has numerical strength does not make it a paramount
Union in Ase Kingdom.
The League however, praised
Egbeme-Ase, Ogboko-Ase, Ekregbesi-Ase, Sapele-Ase, Otorka-Ase, Iwene-Ase,
Egwe-Ase and Asaba-Ase communities, for detecting the fraudulent activities of
Ase Development Union (ADU) early and disassociating themselves from the Union;
an act which the ADU is interpreting as autonomy claim by these Ase sub
communities. The League therefore warned all serious minded Ase Persons and
communities to emulate the antics of the above communities, as Ase Development
Union (ADU) will never abandon their usual characteristics, notwithstanding the
change of Leadership.
Further, the League’s
President-General, called on the Traditional
Ruler of Ase kingdom, HRM, Peter
Ifeanyichukwu Ogeh I (JP+) to disregard the insinuations by the ADU that
the mere action of the above communities by disassociating themselves from Ase
Development Union (ADU), is a claim of autonomy by these communities. The
League reasoned, that these communities disassociated themselves from Ase
Development Union (ADU) but not from Ase Kingdom, even when their ancestral
home is Isoko-Land.
More
also, the League warned that ADU is still on the move to arrogate the monarch’s
powers to itself, and advised the Traditional
Ruler to tread cautiously with Ase Development Union (ADU).
