A pandemonium struck following the incident that happened on
27th October 2018 at Igbogene, Yenagoa as one of the
First Class Chief and sectional indigenes who hailed from Delta State (
name withheld ) committed a bloody crime when he used a two-by-too plank
to hit one of his numerous beer parlour and brothel customer on the head after
an argument as both of them were drunk which led to the death of the customer.
Isoko mirror investigation revealed that, on the ill-fated day, one Mr. Simeon ( surname and marital status not identified ) from Akwa-Ibom State, 33 years old young promising man visited the beer parlour for a cool-off after the day's work when the bizarre story kick started.
Speaking with an eye witness who pleaded on the condition of anonymity, narrated that the deceased after taking some few bottles of beer decided to climb a wooden walk-way popularly called monkey bridge in Bayelsa to rest for the day , the bridge was so narrow that when one enters from one end , the other the other opposite ought to wait for the first to alight before he or she will climb. It happens that late Simeon was the first to climb but the daughter of the First Class Chief refuse to wait as protocol demand. Late Simeon has gone half the length of the bridge and there was a traffic jam between the two of them.

mirror gathered that, partially drunk Simeon slapped the daughter of the First Class Chief, a
seventeen year old girl. The girl cried to report to her
parents, this infuriated traditional ruler who has just been installed
in Bayelsa State by the non-

first, rushed to Simeon and slapped him in return thrice. Simeon
refused to reply the slap because she is a woman. Next the father took his turn
and as if Simeon had stepped on the tail of a tiger, hit him again on the
head severally before he fell down. The said Monarch as Isoko mirror
gathered after the victim drop down, he smelled a rat and decided to take him
for medical attention at FMC in Yenagoa . On arrival, the doctors a severe
injury on the man's head and immediately referred him to Niger Delta University
Teaching Hospital at Okolobiri. But unluckily, Simeon had given up his ghost
before arrival.
The chief hurriedly took the corpse on his home, dropped the corpse in a nearby little bush half of the legs protruding out a little, and when he entered his car to speed out of the scene, the fuel in the car's reservoir was exhausted, abandoned the car , called his wife to take cover for the worst had happened, the wife in return replied him she is being held hostage by siblings of the victim.
While passersby who saw the popular vehicle with the legs of a dead man near it, made some calls and the news spread like wild fire, and the police were invited and, police arrested the wife and daughter, and took the corpse to the mortuary, tow the vehicle to the police station.
Further findings revealed that the chief has gone into hiding till date, all attempt to reach the police PRO proved abortive.
In another development, the Ukoro family of Araya town in Aviara kingdom living in Yenagoa are still lamenting the sudden disappearance of their little son Master Progress Ukoro a four old boy.
While narrating the story to Isoko mirror in Yenagoa, the paternal uncle Engr. Esime Ogbemudia had noted that it is the usual custom of the boy shuffling between his grandmother's shop who is a petty trader in the popular Swali market and another of his aunt, shop less than fifty meters on daily basis.
but on the ill-fated day, November 5th, 2018 , Progress left the grandmother's shop and never arrived at the aunt place. The family had reported the case at Azikoro police station and investigations are ongoing, master Progress Ukoro speaks only pidgin English to the capacity of his age.
Meanwhile, the Ukoro family have not thrown their worries about their little son behind an air of insouciance.
