---as indigenous publishers tasks on creativity
The All Progressive Congress [APC]
Led Federal government had been described working as a syndicate group and not
a Team.
‘’A good team is better than a
collection of Experts working across board. Team is the first level of
Innovation in the World, that is the point where everybody is multi-tasking,
but this is what the APC government lacked.’’
The Delta State Commissioner of
Economic and strategic PLANNING, Hon Emu stated this while fielding questions
from Community Newspaper Publishers in the state recently.
According to him, President Buhari
first action in Office contributed to the Recession the country is struggling
to get out from.
He noted that the President refusal
to retain Key Economy players like THE FORMER Finance Minister, Okonjo Iwela,
and Director of Budget caused a whole lot of set-back to the nation Economy.
‘’These are very strategic persons
that he should not have allowed to go, it is not because you love them but it
is because you need them to move the Country forward.’’ he said.
He also pointed out that the
activities of Niger Delta Militants brought the production of oil to 27% as
against 77%, which reduced the revenue generated from Oil, yet Delta state
government was able to maintain the same run-head that the state had when the
Economy was booming as regards to returns from IGR.
‘’In Delta, we saw our worst in ‘MAY-JUNE’
2016 when we received 3 Billion and you know that has a lot of
implication on our IGR. But that also helped the Government, Individuals,
families the opportunity to look inward. We started creating Jobs through small
scale and medium Enterprise. We were able to create 32,000 Entrepreneurs ’’ he
said.
However, when other state
governments were preaching diversification,’’ we were already marching words
with action by creating policy that is favorable to Agriculture. While the next
step for us is to approve the Industrial parks which takes on the Niger Delta
formation structure to enable us attract notable Investors and create Job under
the out goers Scheme. ‘’
