The Emede
progress union, Lagos branch held a wake-keep and service of songs for late
High chief joseph Onothome Udevieme Ofo, (FCA, ACTI) a financial guru,
philanthropist and a community leader on the 13th October 2017 at No
5 Ofo Street, Pedro, Palmgrove Shomolu Lagos.
The service
of songs attracted dignitaries across Lagos state, including the C.E.O of
LASTMA, AIG (chief) Chris Olakpe while the Isoko Development union IDU, lagos
was led by its 1st vice president chief Steve Ageh, just as the two
immediate past presidents, chief Paul John Odhomor and chief JAD Iboma were
also in attendance.

Late High
chief Ofo who died on the 13th of june 2017 was the founder/managing
partner: Onothome Ofo Thirwel & co, chairman Joja Educational Research and
publishers ltd, and chairman joja press Ltd. He was honoured with the Isoko
merit award, the personality achievement award and PSR Development in Nigeria
award merit.
In
recognition of his philanthropist gestures and selfless service to humanity,
the Okpe Isoko Kingdom honoured him with a chieftancy title as the Atanaru
(talknado) of Okpe Isoko while Ozoro kingdom bestowed on him the Onaroseha of
Ozoro kingdom and during his life time, as a community leader, he was a regular
member of Emede progress union, member Isoko leader of thought, member Isoko
club 2000 and patron Isoko students union
Other
dignitaries present at the occasion includes:col (chief) E.E Ogude (Rtd) Mrs.
Mary Nwaru (IDU president women’s wing lagos) and others.
Rev.Joseph
Onosomowho Okwigbedi and pastor Dotun Adenugba jointly conducted the service of
songs ceremony.
He is
survived by wife, Dr(Mrs.) Janet Ofo (phd) and children.
His burial
date has been fixed for 27th October 2017 at his home town, Emede in
Isoko South Local government area of Delta State.
