The Delta State Chapter of the Atiku Care
Foundation was recently inaugurated by the National Chairman of the Foundation
Ambassador Aliyu Bin Abbas at the Terminal I, Hotel, Asaba.
In his address, the newly inaugurated
Chairman of the State Chapter Barr. Splent Martins Ubuluku said that, the
gathering is very important because it is a mile stone meant to promote the
humanitarian ideals and philosophy of the former Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Atiku
Abubakar who is the Grand Patron of the Non-Governmental Organization (NGO)
Atiku Care Foundation.

According to him, Alhaji Atiku Abuabakar, the
Waziri Adamawa is a detribalized visionary and humble Nigerian who has the love
and care for the weak in the society such as; the vulnerable, the Motherless
persons and the internally displaced person (IDPS) at heart.
Barr. Ubuluku also reiterated that, the above
philosophy was crafted together in the form of a foundation known as the Atiku
Care Foundation. Noting that, the foundation is mostly promoted by the efforts,
hard work and doggedness of the National Chairman Ambassador Aliyu Bin Abbas
who felt it is necessary for posterity sake and the general public to see
beyond the political statesman of the former Vice-President as a man with kind
heart to be at home with both the weak and the elite.
He maintained that, the role of
Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOS) Community Based Organizations (CBOS)
Civil Society Organizations (CSOS) and Faith Based Organizations (FBOS) cannot
be jettisoned in a democratic setting. “This is because people are now looking
to all these forms of organizations for assistance in one way or the other
arising from the government failures, crises situations and natural disasters
in order to get succor in forms of food, clothes and other assistance for
survival.
He therefore called on well meaning Nigerians
to support and identify with Atiku Care Foundation in order to be able to
provide selfless services to the society and humanity. All the 25 local
government area in the state were duly represented at the ceremony.
