A member of the house of representative representing
Ajeromi-Ifelodun Federal Constituency and the chairperson, Diapora committee,
Hon. Rita Orji, has said that women are vital to the development and growth of
the nation’s economy.
She made this statement during her empowerment of 200 women
with soft loans to enable them invest into their various businesses, explaining
that she’s making sure no one is left behind in her resolve to bring government
down to the grassroots and for the people to enjoy the dividends of democracy.
According to her, she promised to better the life of people when she was given
the mandate to represent her constituency in 2015 and she thanked God for her
achievement so far. The lawmaker said most women in her constitution are petty
traders who do not have collateral security to collect loan from the bank and
other financial houses, as such she decided to remove that burden to ease their
suffering. She urged the people of Ajeromi-Ifelodun to continue to support her so as to do more
for them in the future.
My plans is to transform Ajegunle to a modern city.
The chair person, House Committee on Diaspora matters, and member representing Ajeromi-Ifelodun Federal Constituency of Lagos state in the House of Representatives, Hon. Rita Orji, has reiterated her commitment to transform Ajegunle to a modern city, make the people happy and provide essential amenities to the people of her constituency, to enable them benefit from the dividends of democracy. She made this statement recently at graduation ceremony of her vocational skill training and entrepreneurship institute in Ajegunle, in commemoration of 2018 Democracy day. Hon. Orji said she decided to set up the vocational institute to enable the unemployed youths acquire training in cake makin, Fashion Design, Make-up, Graphics Design amongst others, them become self-employed professional entrepreneurs.
Hon. Rita Orji
stressed that she has embarked on
the construction of roads, built about 34 Boreholes and set up a Medical Centre within Ajegunle and
distributed 35 KekeNAPEP and
sewing machines among others. About 255 youths have been trained in
various vocational fields. Hon. Rita Orji
also extended gifts to Muslim faithfuls when she visited
the Muslim community.
