Chairman of HOSTCOM of Itsekiri ethnic nationality, Chief
Justice Memeh has urged everyone present and other out there, to disabuse their
minds from the devilish thoughts, and misinformation that there are two
HOSTCOMS stressing that there is only one authentic and recognized State
Chairman of HOSTCOM and that is Snr. Evangelist Gabriel Isibeluo.
Chief Memeh stated this during the inauguration of the
Itsekiri ethnic chapter excos of Warri South West and Warri North local
government areas respectively held at Warri club on the 17th January
2019. He appealed to the people not to look at the indecent behaviour of Hon
Benjamin Iwetan as his opinion does not represent the entire indigenes of
Itsekiri nation and informed the gathering that even the Olu of Warri has
equally condemned Iwetan`s refusal to relinquish power as at when due and
should however be noted that we are very much ready and willing to accommodate any
one of them that decides to turn a new leaf by repenting from their old ways to
work under the leadership of our amiable indefatigable HOSTCOM State Chairman,
Evang. Gabriel Isibeluo.
The State Chairman Evang. Gabriel Isibeluo narrated that as a
child he grew up to know the closeness between the Ijaw, Itsekiri and the
Isoko, adding that an average Isoko man should protect the Itsekiri nation. He
also said that “we can't quarrel every day and that this is the time for peace”
advising that Itsekiri should discuss peace so that Delta State HOSTCOM chapter
can become one". He stated that The
Olu of Warri, Ogaime Ikenwoli had ensured that the cry for justice should be
heated up so that development will come to the people HOSTCOM represents and
Delta people will continue to resist any person or group that may be parading
themselves falsely as leaders of HOSTCOM both at the National, State, Ethnic
and Local Government Area Chapters.
Isibeluo noted that there is need to have a common ground
because “we started this HOSTCOM together and I will like all members of
HOSTCOM Exco's to pray for the success of HOSTCOM because oil money is sweet but the spirit behind it is
dangerous”,
