Obi laments height of insecurity, poverty in the nation ---as Agbaje seeks freedom for Lagosians.

The people Democratic party PDP has lamented the heights of insecurity, non-functional educational system and poverty in the country.
The vice presidential candidate of the PDP and former governor of Anambra state, Mr. Peter Obi disclosed this while addressing women groups in diaspora at a ceremony put together by the Honorable member representing Ajeromi Ifelodun federal constituency of Lagos state, Hon. (Barr) Rita Orji, held at the federal housing authority football pitch, Festac town on the 15th of January 2019.
Mr. Peter Obi who fumed at the worsening situations of insecurity and high level of poverty leading to high number of out of school children noted that the thread is Worrisome and unacceptable and all discerning minds must reject this whole episode of caricature in totality.
He noted that all these are happening because the Buhari APC led government lacks policy direction and the only thing they have succeeded in bringing to Nigerians  is to create hunger among the populace, stressing that the only alternative at the moment is to come out in enmasse to vote out APC and vote in PDP, assuring  the people that the PDP government will usher in a new chapter in the country political sojourn as Atiku Abubakar and Obi presidency, will turn around the economy by creating jobs for the teaming youths of Nigeria.
The vice presidential candidate further lamented that the current insecurity in the country is fast deteriorating day by day and it is regrettable to an extent that some governors had come out openly to shed tears while others are agitating for declaration of state of emergency in their states and even the president state Katsina is not save according to the state governor, Masari.
On his part, Jimi Agbaje who came a little bit late to the programme, while commending the effort of Hon. Rita Orji whom he referred to as a man because of her zeal and burning energy in threading where some men cannot is a testimony to the fact that she is a blessing to the people of Ajeromi Ifelodun federal constituency In view of her wonderful performances in the last four years of her representation shows she is a woman-man, mother and a leader.
Agbaje used the medium to appeal to Lagosians to vote for freedom as Lagos is in bondage in the hand of one man and suggested that the only way to gain that freedom is to come out in enmasse during governorship election to vote for freedom so as to enjoy the Lagos of our dreams.
“On March 2nd 2019, come out and vote for freedom, the era of man holding back Lagos from progress and development in the name of Godfatherism must be Jettison by all because Lagos belongs to all of us. I want to note here that if we vote for freedom on March 2nd, by the special grace of God we will enjoy the Lagos of our dreams”. He said.

The convener of the event and house committee chairman on diaspora affairs had earlier informed the mammoth crowd that the aims and objectives of the gathering is not to campaign, but, to sensitize the women in diaspora to see themselves as source of inspiration, noting that some of them who have ventured into politics and elected have performed creditably well, showing good governance and able to prove that women can do it if given the same parameter with men.
